1. ELIGIBILITY AND PARTICIPATION
• This contest is conducted by Amara Raja Batteries Limited (ARBL).
• This contest is open to residents of India. Employees of ARBL, their family members, employees and family members of associate companies, dealers, distributors, franchisees and any body corporate or persons associated in any manner with ARBL are not eligible to participate in this contest.
• Contestants are responsible for compliance with applicable laws of India.
• By entering this contest, participants automatically agree to be bound by the terms of this contest as listed in this Contest Terms and Conditions.
• Failure to adhere to the terms and conditions listed in this Contest Terms and Conditions will result in disqualification of any submitted entries, and the nullification of contestant privileges to further participate in the contest.
2. SUBMISSIONS OF ENTRIES AND DEADLINES
• The Contest will be opened for entry submissions starting 7th June 2009. All entries must submitted no later than 23.59 hrs. IST, on 20th June 2009. Late entries will be summarily rejected.
• Entries must be in any one of the following formats: jpeg/PDF/TIFF/PSD/CDR/AI. Any other format would not be compatible to be uploaded. ARBL shall not be responsible for any poor quality of design/ corrupt file. The file size should not be larger than 2MB.
• Entry submitted shall be original work and the entrant shall be required to reproduce in the same manner or bring the same as and when required by (ARBL) for verification purposes. Participants shall give a declaration to the effect that the work submitted by him/her is his/her original concept and has not been copied from any other source and that if there is any claim from any third parties, all liability on this account shall be to the participants account and ARBL shall not be responsible for the said liabilities that may arise.
• All entries once posted/uploaded shall become the sole property of ARBL and the participant shall have no right or claim towards the entries at any point of time. ARBL shall irrespective of whether the entry has won or not shall have liberty to use the creativity of the participants for its promotional activities/business purpose.
• Incomplete entries shall be deemed disqualified and will be rejected. ARBL shall not be held responsible for any lost, misdirected or delayed entries.
• A contestant shall post/upload his/her creation in all the three categories and if he/she wins in more than one category then he/she shall be eligible to witness only one race.
• By submitting an entry, entrants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in this document without limitation. Entries must not include content that are unlawful, harmful, vulgar, obscene, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable, the determination of which is up to the sole discretion of ARBL.
3. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
• All entries would be scrutinized and the winning entry would be selected by our brand ambassadors Mr. Narain Karthikeyan, Mr. Karun Chandok and Mr. Armaan Ebrahim.
• The Winners would be announced on 23rd June 2009 at Hyderabad
• A total of up to 3 winners (one from each category) shall be eligible for the individual category prizes. Winners may have to participate in certain other activities as decided by ARBL in consultation with the ARBL officials. The decision to choose the winners in each category lies solely with ARBL and our brand ambassadors.
• Winners will have to compulsorily be in the apparel as provided by ARBL during the prize announcement and distribution and any other activities decided by ARBL.
• ARBL is under no obligation to publicly announce the winners. Winners will be individually contacted by ARBL or any of its authorized representative(s). In case ARBL is not able to contact the winner(s) then the prize would be forfeited.
• ARBL at its own discretion may display the winning entries as well as details of the winners in mass media or any other form of communication.
• The winners should provide proof of their identity at the time of the prize distribution.
• The prizes to winners shall be given subject to compliance with all applicable statutory legislations/processes/formalities in connection with the gifts on production of all such documents/papers as required by ARBL before accepting the prize. Any failure on the part of the winner(s) to comply with the directions issued by ARBL shall entitle ARBL to forfeit the prize.
• Gift tax if any shall be borne by ARBL.
• All applicable taxes including but not limited to income tax, TDS, gift tax and any other statutory levy as may be applicable in relation to the prize will be payable by the winner. The winner would be solely responsible for any other expense related to the acceptance and use of this offer and the Company or its associate companies shall not be in any manner liable or responsible for the same.
4. Prizes
• The winners in each of the categories shall be eligible to join us and witness the real race. However, if a contestant wins in more than one category, then he would be eligible to witness only one race.
5. General
• ARBL reserves the right to extend, cancel, discontinue, withdraw, change, alter or modify the terms of the scheme at its sole discretion without any notice at any time during the validity with or without notification and without assigning any reason. Decision of ARBL shall be final and binding on the participants. No correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
• ARBL and its directors, officers or employees shall not be responsible in any manner whatsoever for the manufacturing quality of the prizes and or shall not be liable for any loss, damage or theft, breakage or malfunction or any defect caused to or notices in the prize and / or in respect of the prize after handing over the same to the winner(s).
• ARBL shall not be responsible for any loss or damage suffered by the winner while availing this offer.
• All instructions, rules and conditions on any advertising or promotional materials relating to the contest form part of these terms and conditions, provided that in the event of any conflict or inconsistency, these provisions shall prevail over all such other instructions, rules and conditions
• ARBL shall be at liberty to reproduce, use, disclose and distribute any information/ details of this scheme to third parties without limitation. ARBL reserves the right to publish the photograph and/ or name(s) of the winners in its promotional materials and advertisements as it deem fit and proper.
• Travel dates and name of winner cannot be changed.
• Travel will be from area of winners’ place of domicile as mentioned in the contest form to race venue (Coimbatore, Kolhapur or Chennai) as decided by ARBL
• If any of the winner/s is a minor, the accompanying parent/guardian will have to pay for their travel
• Trip duration will be one day only. Traveling expenses will be borne by ARBL which includes travel in economy class, and F&B
• Disputes, if any, are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Hyderabad Courts only.
